CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION:
We invite you to celebrate the forthcoming publication of noted psychoanalyst Dr. Arnold D. Richard’s memoir, Unorthodox: My Life Inside and Outside Psychoanalysis. During this free virtual event, Dr. Richards will speak about his life and work, then the panelists will comment on the memoir, and after that, there will be a discussion with the audience.
Arnold Richards has been a participant and an eye-witness to the history of psychoanalysis for over half-a century. He has been integrally involved in some of the most important events and controversies facing psychoanalysis during this period.
Dr. Richards was the editor of The American Psychoanalyst and served as the innovative editor of the Journal of the American Psychoanalytic Association for a decade. He founded and oversees IPbooks, which publishes works of psychoanalysts, memoirs, fiction, poetry, non-fiction, children’s books. His collected papers are now up to five volumes. His important online periodical International Journal of Controversial Discussions is raising important issues.
